1B have visited some  interesting sights this term.
We have used technology to help us refine our skills in problem solving and inquiry.
The Chinese Dragon Game at www.topmarks.co.uk/ordering-and-sequencing/chinese-dragon-ordering was a great independent activity the students engaged in while we were learning about counting on by 2's, 5's, and 10's.
We also looked at www.splash.abc.net.au  and spent time exploring the interactive elements in Science, History, Geography, English and Maths.  It was encouraging to see the students working collaboratively when they found an area of interest and helped others to find it too.  The students were particularly interested in the images about dinosaurs and the coral reef.
We have been doing addition for a few weeks in maths and a fantastic game using problem solving skills can be found at Greg Tang Maths .  Have a look at the game Kakooma and race the clock doing addition activities.
IB also used an app called 'Skitch' in class.  Skitch allows the user to take photos and label what is in the photo.  The tools available give the students choice as to how they annotate the information.  This is a valuable tool for digital literacy and presentations.  Why not try it out at home!?
